Teacher (1.0) (maternity leave)
New Heights School & Learning Services runs a unique specialized program tailored to neurodivergent students with autism spectrum disorder. New Heights is a play-based program that utilizes the strengths and interests of each student to address developmental and academic goals. We are currently looking for one Teacher (1.0) for a maternity leave for an elementary multi-graded classroom (Grades 4-6) in our school program.
This is a full time position for the 2024-2025 school year.
Qualifications:
- An active Alberta Teacher Certificate
- Experience working with neurodivergent children/youth/young adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to be self-directed, flexible, highly motivated and to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
