New Heights School celebrated the upcoming Easter long weekend with a whole school egg drop on Thursday afternoon. In between Spring break and Easter break, each upstairs (Junior High and High School) classroom buddied up with a downstairs (Elementary and Kindergarten) classroom to create contraptions to try to keep the eggs from breaking when they were dropped. There was a limited list of supplies, so much imagination and collaboration took place!
On egg drop day, we all gathered in the front foyer to see which eggs survived and which ones splattered…both were pretty satisfying to watch!
There ended up being three rounds. For the first round, the egg contraptions were dropped from a level place on the upper floor. For the second and third rounds, Ms Katie was allowed to use a bit more force to drop the eggs.
It was a great way to work together as a school and to kick off the long weekend!
