Teacher (1.0)
New Heights School & Learning Services runs a unique specialized program tailored to neurodivergent students with autism spectrum disorder, or with similar learning differences. New Heights is a play-based program that utilizes the strengths and interests of each student to address developmental goals while teaching the Alberta Program of Studies. We are currently looking for one Teacher (1.0) to join our multi-graded High School program (Gr 10-12).
Qualifications:
- An active Alberta Teacher Certificate
- Experience working with neurodivergent children/youth/young adults
- Experience and/or background in Humanities and Art an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to be self-directed, flexible, highly motivated and to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- All hires must provide a Police Check with Vulnerable Sector, Child Intervention Record Check and Standard First Aid
