Program Assistant (0.6 FTE)
New Heights’ Home and Community Support (HCS) provides support to families with children aged 2 ½ – 6 years as well as school aged children with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, or with similar learning challenges. HCS offers several programs funded through Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD).
We provide a friendly and supportive environment for staff and families alike. HCS currently requires one part-time (0.6) Program Assistant to contribute to the overall wellness and efficiency of the program. The ideal candidate will be committed to growing with the program and be with us for many years to come! The position can begin immediately.
The Program Assistant’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- assisting with administrative tasks (e.g. collecting and maintaining records, light data entry)
- general office duties (e.g. answering phone, fielding inquiries, replenishing supplies, filing)
- researching, planning and scheduling events as needed
- assist with duties as requested by Program Coordinator and Administrator
The ideal candidate will:
- foster a culture of support and wellbeing and take pride in the program, its operations and the team
- be innovative, flexible, reliable and empathetic
- be conscientious with strong organizational skills, strong people skills, coupled with the ability to be self-directed, highly motivated and work effectively in a team environment
- have experience in a related administrative field
- be proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of autism, special needs, and early childhood development is an asset
